Hello everyone!
Winter has finally begun after a very warm December. This morning we woke to a high of 5 degrees! The ducks were the only brave souls out there, even the local school were delayed two hours. We have a heavy snow expected for Friday, which excites everyone here.
This morning I enjoyed a brisk walk along Wolfpen and up to our pond. There is something inspiring about the snow and a new year of gardening...
"Peace and love and joy can bloom like flowers in the snow," --Peter Gray
One of my last garden bouquets of 2015. I am looking forward to many more in the New Year...
"Such a winter eve. Now for a mellow fire, some old poet's page, or else serene philosophy."
--Henry David Thoreau
"I hope for snow -white and clean and glittering in the winter sunlight, covering all that's left of the year that's gone. A new beginning. A gentle stillness. A new life that will bring us joy and peace." --Pam Brown
Thanks for visiting and
stay warm!
Erin
