Birch River in Winter

It has been cold here. I have enjoyed the ice-covered Birch River and Wolfpen Run below our home. 

The old punch mines below our house are decorated with icicles..

Purples in the Garden

Hello everyone!

It has been a snowy day here, so I guess we will have more winter after all.  We went out to eat this evening and the roads were slick and icy on the way home.  I do love snow, but not driving in it. 

I thought I would share some garden purples with you. It is nice to dream of green when it is cozy inside and cold outside. Although, I do love snow!

Looking Back- Peonies in the Garden

I love that they are easy to divide and deer proof!

A Walk to the River

Hello everyone!

Today we enjoyed a walk to the river. It is a short walk from our home to the beautiful Birch River.  It was rather muddy, but we enjoyed the sunshine.  We even came back to find two crocuses blooming in our garden. I do believe (unlike Freddie's prediction), it will be an early Spring!
