Mountain Stage

We enjoyed a trip to the state capital with our oldest daughter, Arabelle, on Sunday to see Mountain Stage.  Arabelle turns eight tomorrow. Wow...how the time flies! It was her first Mountain Stage concert and the perfect way to kick off her birthday week. Luckily, we had front row seats and Arabelle sat just two seats down from a lady who shared the same birthday as her. This lady was going to be 79 yrs young!
The music is always fantastic at Mountain Stage! If you haven't been to a performance I would highly recommend it.

Below is a list of the performersSolas and Sean Keane were wonderful Irish bands--great bands to listen to this month!

Enjoy your week!

A Day in March

"Walk away quietly in any direction and taste the freedom of the mountaineer...Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."-- John Muir

It was a nice day to shake our tail feathers and get some fresh air!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ahead!!

Thanks for visiting,
Erin

Indoor and Outdoor Blooms

Today I noticed my first blooms in the garden! Now that the snow is starting to melt and March is here, I can see things starting to wake up a bit. I can't believe I haven't seen a crocus yet--they usually appear in February! The Winter Aconite usually blooms in January here.
I am enjoying my indoor and outdoor blooms! Spring is finally here!

Thanks for visiting!

Daffodil Daydreaming

It is another beautiful snowy day here--a good day to stay inside and dream of what is to come in the month of March! I poured you a cup of tea. Find yourself a cozy spot with a throw blanket and join me for a tour of my daffodils!

Nothing says March quite like the arrival of
Ice Follies! I love their name and those creamy yellow/white flowers! They are usually the first to appear in my garden.

"I look upon the whole country in spring-time as a spacious garden, and make as many visits to a spot of daisies,or a bank of violets, as a florist does to his borders or parterres. There is not a bush in blossom within a mile of me which I am not acquainted with, nor scarce a daffodil or cowslip that withers away in my neighborhood without my missing it." -Joseph Addison

Emmylou Bunny, Cousin Ava Bunny, and Arabelle Bunny

I leave you with these three sweet little bunnies enjoying the daffodils! The oldest bunnies will soon be eight, and the baby bunny is now four!! They grow as fast as a field of Daffodils!

I hope you enjoyed your tea!

Stay warm!
